Dr. Donna Santillan,
Ph.D.

Dr. Donna Santillan is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. She is the Director of the Reproductive Health Sciences Research Division and Vice Chair for Research. She is a Molecular Biologist and her research is focused on understanding the mechanisms leading to increased risk of cardiovascular disease in mothers and children affected by preeclampsia. She co-founded and directs the Women’s Health Tissue Repository at the University of Iowa. In addition, she is passionate about fostering a new generation of scientists and directs graduate and undergraduate programs in Translational Biomedicine.
